IP setup for connecting SandNet to  ArtNet
(concerns GMA/ADB/Artistic License e-hub)

(The illustrations are in Norwegian, will be changed later)

The ArtNet protocol is specified to work on subnet 2,
so your PC has to be set up according to this.

  • For 95/98/ME you will have to change the TCP/IP settings totally.
(I have on some occasions used multiple network cards. It works, but you will have to accept strange messages from windows, and be quiet experienced to sort out how to avoid conflicts.

  • For NT/2000 you can define several IP's, so the "ArtNet IP" can coexist with the IP you normally use.

For windows 95/98/ME:

First enter the network property dialog

Press the properties button for TCP/IP on your network card.

and change the IP so it belongs in the subnet 2.
You may use any identification like this: 2.x.x.x,
as long as it does not conflict with any other machine in your network.
A subnet mask of 255.0.0.0 will work.

Then press OK, and restart the PC when prompted.

For windows 2000:
